About Adithya

Adithya Bodi is a fine artist based in Southern India, creating oil paintings rooted in realism and shaped by a deep sensitivity to light and form.

Using thin layers of oil paint to build up his compositions, Adithya explores a wide range of subject matter including still life, nature, and portraiture. Through softened transitions and careful observation, his paintings seek to capture the mood and emotional character of a scene.

My Story

Becoming an artist was never really the plan.

I used to draw a lot as a child, but somewhere along the way, art disappeared from my life. My teenage years were spent studying science at a French school in Pondicherry before moving to France to pursue engineering.

Math and science came naturally to me, and I eventually found myself studying in some of the most recognized institutions in France, including an aerospace engineering school. From the outside, everything seemed to be moving in the right direction. But internally, something felt completely off. I never truly liked what I was studying, and over time that disconnect became impossible to ignore.

After leaving engineering, I explored entrepreneurship and started a couple of businesses. One worked, one did not.

It was only in 2024, at the age of 27, that I seriously returned to art.

What began as a rediscovery quickly became an obsession. Painting gave me something I had been searching for for years: a sense of direction and freedom. As an outsider to the traditional art world, I approach painting without rigid allegiance to any single school or movement, focusing instead on light, form, and emotional presence.
